April 26-27, 2007
Kutztown, PA

The Cortland men’s lacrosse club’s quest for a second consecutive national championship fell just short on Sunday afternoon, as they lost in the NCLL Div-II National Championship game. Cortland held on for an 8-7 victory over tournament host Kutztown on Saturday to advance to the finals against Ivy League member Columbia.

On Sunday Cortland fell behind 3-0 at the end of the 1st quarter and were never able to get any closer than three goals the rest of the way. The final margin ended up at 10-6 in favor of the Lions, ending the hopes of the Red Dragons for back-to-back championships. Cortland finishes their Spring 2007 season with a record of 10-2-1.

Congratulations to the men’s lacrosse club on another excellent season! Check back in the fall for schedules, pictures, and fall tournament information.
