SUNY Cortland Sport Clubs

The SUNY Cortland golf club stayed undefeated in the inaugural CNYCGL season with a three stroke victory over Ithaca College. John Carhart (82), Dave Jacques (82), Mike English (87), Mike Villarosa (89), and Ryan Ingalls (90) shot well on their home course and led the Red Dragons to a 430-433 victory. With the victory, Cortland improves to 3-0 in the league and secures the regular season championship. Ithaca dropped to 2-1 on the season.

Cortland will now compete in the CNYCGL championship this coming weekend. First round play will be hosted by Syracuse on Saturday and Ithaca on Sunday. By finishing in first place in the league, Cortland will have the opportunity to send seven golfers to compete in the tournament championship. Check back next week for tournament results and final season scores!
