For a day that was supposed to be stormy, it was fantastic. The black flies were not too bad and we were able to get some outdoor stuff taken care of. The temperatures hovered around 70 with sun and clouds until 7 p.m.ish.
Cedars cabin has a new roof and exterior paint job, now it is time for the interior. We have primed the interior of the main room and are waiting for the paint. The color we use, barley, uses the “C” color in the mix which happens to be broken at the local hardware store. We are hoping for it to be fixed tomorrow. Cedars is an awesome cabin with an approximately 15 foot peaked ceiling. It is trimmed with beautiful woodwork that we are trying to figure out how to clean and oil. It will be a challenge, but I am determined while we have the room torn apart.
Dan, our student intern, and I put the swim lines in, added some signs and reflectors to the raft. We also finished mulching a garden, swapped out a toilet and fixed a shower seal. We did a trash and recycles run to the dump and toured the town. It was busy in town with a new boat launch that was poured a few days ago and was being pushed into place today; in the store the ice cream fountain area is being rebuilt, and the library was getting a new slate roof.
We decided to go to wing night at the Tap Room. I have tried two other times, unsuccessfully. The wings go fast, so you need to get there early. The wings were good and more filling than I had thought.
Not much new to report other than that. Catch you later!
