-The Chick!!

According to the NY Daily News, A-Rod and C-Rod are offically no longer. The case was settled today with the proceedings private. In other words we’ll never know all the juicy details … damn!!

But don’t worry loyal readers, the sports chick always finds the dirt! ;)

Hurricane Ike forced the Houston Astros - Chicago Cubs game to Milwaukee today, but the travel didn’t bother pitcher Carlos Zambrano as he threw the first Cubs no hitter since 1972. Zambrano was down right nasty all day as he seemed to stiffle the Astro offense. Zambrano kept his cool the entire game, but collapsed on the mound after striking out Darin Erstad for the final out. Teammates swarmed and surrounded him, and the sparse crowd of 20,000+ (manly Cubs fans) showered Carlos with chants “Z, Z, Z.”

Alfonso Soriano homered in the first inning and Houston never responded as the Cubs won the game 5 - 0. Zambrano had ten strikeouts and one walk in the No-No.

Congrats Z!

New England's Tom Brady (12) fires a pass downfield just as Kansas City's Bernard Pollard (out of the photo) hits his leg and buckles it. Tom Brady left today’s New England - Kansas City game in the first quarter with a left knee injury. The Pats recovered and won the game in Foxboro 17 - 10 behind Matt Cassel. But here’s the real story … after getting hit by KC Safety, Bernard Pollard, Brady did little to conceal the fact that he was hurt in his cool california style. In fact, Brady clutched his knee for dear life and screamed like a hell - not something you’d expect from a Belichick soldier.

The Patriots, in their usual fashion, did not divulge in any injury details. However, the New York Jets (my fav and former employeer ;) ) were seen and heard in their Miami locker room (after an unreal win!!!!) saying that Brady has a torn left ACL. Obviously making him unavailable for the week 2 match up between the Pats and Jets, but also making him OUT FOR THE SEASON!

I’m sure when the news is released to the whole world we can all hear the weeps from Foxboro and the jubilation from the NYC metro area … yes I can hear it now, the Jets will win the AFC East!!!! :D

ps - Prof. Dodds maybe we will see Brett in Tampa, not Miami! ;)

So it’s no surprise to anyone that the Seattle Super Sonics are now the Oklahoma City Thunder. This is mainly because the colors, logos, and name have been leaked weeks ago. But still the organization felt the need to have a press conference with little kiddies and all to present this????

Oklahoma City Thunder Logo

UGH!!! Honestly it’s hideous! What is so bright and colorful about Oklahoma? I certainly don’t think of bright sunny colors with Oklahoma, especially when your name is Thunder?

Wouldn’t thunder represent a mad, dirty, chaotic storm? It would seem so to me, but I guess that can summarize the whole Seattle move anyway… a mad, dirty, chaotic storm!

What do you think of the Thunder name and new logo??
