Jewish Literature Series starts August 27th
WHO? Discussion Leader, Nicola Morris, SUNY Cortland English Department
WHEN? All discussions will be held on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM on the following dates:
A Contract With God on August 27, 2008
The Complete Maus on September 24, 2008
Julius Knipl on October 15, 2008
The Quitter on November 12, 2008
The Rabbi’s Cat on December 3, 2008
WHERE? Teaching Materials Center, Memorial Library, SUNY Cortland
Books and other materials will be provided to participants at the Memorial Library Circulation Desk.

Lets Talk About It - Jewish Literature
Coming in the fall to Memorial Library!
Let’s Talk About It will be back in the fall with more book discussions on Jewish literature. This year we will be looking at Modern Marvels, a series of graphic novels, including A Contract With God by Will Eisner; The Complete Maus: A Survivor’s Tale by Art Spiegelman; Julius Knipl, Real Estate Photographer: Stories by Ben Katchor; The Quitter by Harvey Pekar; The Rabbi’s Cat by Joann Sfar. Once again, sessions will be conducted by Nicky Morris of the English Department and held in the Reading Area of the Teaching Materials Center at Memorial Library. Projected dates for the discussions are: August 27, 2008, September 24, 2008, October 15, 2008, November 12, 2008 and December 3, 2008; all at 7:00 P.M. Refreshments will be served. Please join us!

New Ebsco Interface
Ebsco, the publishers of most of the Memorial Library databases, have introduced a new interface.
With this new look, you will find:
- Ability to preview the abstract when you mouseover the title.
- Additional search options.
- Improved results list.
- Enhanced visuals including charts, graphs, photos, etc.
They have provided a flash demonstration of the new features. Additional help can be found on the support site or by contacting the library.
