Technology Classrooms and Carts

There are currently 44 technology classrooms on campus. All rooms are equipped with display systems that have a dedicated VCR, document camera (Elmo), and PC with campus network and cable system access. These spaces are self-serve once appropriate training has taken place. To set up a training session please contact Hailey M. Ruoff at ext. 4799. Use of Computer Labs and Technology Classrooms for Non-Curricular Purposes

Ordinarily Information Resources technology facilities are restricted to the functions for which they are intended: use by SUNY Cortland faculty and students. On occasion, these classrooms may be used for purposes related to the broader mission of SUNY Cortland, that of providing educational resources for community support.

Use of these resources requires approval of the appropriate department head and of the Associate Provost for Information Resources. To recover costs, the following charges will be in effect for use of these facilities.

  • Computing Labs: $250 per session, up to a half-day (Account #900835)
  • Distance Learning Classroom: $250 per session, up to a half-day (Account #900131) plus any telecommunication fees
  • Faculty Training Center: $250 per session up to a half-day (Account #900406)
